Media in Ethiopia Sensitized on AMR

MTaPS, in collaboration with the Ministry of Health (MoH) of Ethiopia, organized a workshop on November 9, 2019, at Bishoftu town (Oromia region) to orient media professionals on AMR-related issues in the country, including prevention and containment measures. Fifty-two professionals representing public and private electronic media, as well as staff of the Public Relations and Communication Directorate of the MOH in charge of health communication, attended. Media professionals learned about ways to raise public awareness using media outlets. The workshop contributed to media participation in World Antibiotic Awareness Week, November 18-24.
