Afeke Kambui has ten years of experience leading health emergency preparedness and response projects in the Pacific Islands, the Caribbean, and the United States. Her experience includes the design, implementation, and oversight of surveillance and monitoring systems in the context of infectious outbreaks, capacity building, implementing e-learning, and conducting continuous quality improvement processes. Afeke joined MSH on the MTaPS Program in 2019 to provide technical assistance to the Global Health Security Agenda’s Antimicrobial Resistance work in West, Central, and East Africa. She has also served as a core member of the MTaPS and MSH teams that implemented multiple pandemic response projects across 15 countries. Afeke is a proud alumna of the George Washington University’s MPH program and Macalester College’s Anthropology and Community and Global Health programs.
