Anton Luchytsky

Principal Technical Advisor, Infectious Diseases

Dr. Anton Luchytsky (MD, MBA) currently serves as the MTaPS COVID-19 Vaccine Introduction Lead in Jordan, Kenya, Bangladesh, Rwanda, and Ebola Preparedness Lead in Rwanda and Uganda. He has 27 years of experience managing and implementing public health projects in developing countries, focusing on infectious disease surveillance, prevention, and control; immunization, including new vaccine introduction; strategic planning; and health policy analysis and reform. Dr. Luchytsky previously worked for GAIN and PATH, providing managerial and technical direction to a range of programs funded by USAID, CDC, DTRA, GFATM, GAVI, and BMGF in Tanzania, Rwanda, Zambia, Ethiopia, Georgia, Yemen, Ukraine, Vietnam, and Central Asia. Prior to joining PATH in 1997, he worked for the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC) in areas related to immunization and humanitarian assistance and as a physician in an infectious diseases hospital. Dr. Luchytsky holds an MD with a specialization in infectious diseases from the Ukrainian National Medical University and an MBA specializing in management from the University of Wales, UK. He is fluent in Ukrainian and Russian.
