Gashaw Shiferaw

Principal Technical Advisor, Supply Chain Management

Gashaw Shiferaw has more than 20 years of experience in supply chain and pharmaceutical management in multiple low- and middle-income countries. He led the development and implementation of supply chain strategies in the Philippines, designed and implementation of supply chain systems during regular and emergency situations in multiple countries. Gashaw also led the design and implementation of LMIS (both electronic and paper-based systems) in Ethiopia, Eswatini, Liberia and Sierra Leone. He co-developed multiple supply chain guidelines and SOPs; facilitated long-term demand forecasts in multiple countries for various health program products. Gashaw is currently serving as Supply Chain Technical Lead and point of contact for emergency supply chain in the MTaPS COVID-19 Response Team. He is an APICS certified supply chain expert. A pharmacist by training, Gashaw also holds a master’s degree in pharmaceutical sciences.
