Maura Soucy Brown

Maura Soucy Brown currently supports the Cross Bureau portfolio. She has been leading the development of PSS Insight, a tool to measure pharmaceutical system strengthening, since 2014 under the MTaPS predecessor project, the USAID-funded Systems for Improved Access to Pharmaceuticals and Services (SIAPS). In this capacity, Maura worked to develop definitions for pharmaceutical systems and pharmaceutical system strengthening and contributed to creating a corresponding measurement framework and selecting indicators for measurement. Prior to joining the SIAPS program, she lived and worked in Pastores, Sacatepéquez, Guatemala, as the clinic and pharmacy manager for a local nonprofit organization. Ms. Brown holds a dual degree in business economics and microbiology from Brown University and a master of public health degree in global health and pharmaceutical management from Boston University. She is currently pursuing a second master’s degree from the University of Sheffield in international health technology assessment, pricing, and reimbursement.
