Suzanne Diarra

Senior Technical Advisor

Dr. Diarra is a global health expert with over 12 years of experience supporting pharmaceutical systems strengthening activities and nearly 20 years of experience in providing multi-disciplinary technical advisory in health services delivery in low- and middle-income countries. She serves as a Senior Technical Advisor for the USAID MTaPS program overseeing infection prevention and control and maternal, newborn, and child health activities in the MTaPS francophone African region.

Before working at MSH, Dr. Diarra worked as a consultant for Abt Associates, Inc., providing technical assistance on several projects targeting the improvement of basic health services delivery and scaling up HIV/AIDS services in Cote d’Ivoire and Ethiopia. In addition, she also served as a primary care physician for the Ministry of Health in Mali and as a health program coordinator for Plan International-Mali. Dr. Diarra is fluent in English and native in French, Bambara, and Djoula.

Dr. Diarra holds an M.D. from the School of Medicine and Pharmacy of the University of Mali, and a Master of Public Health (MPH) from the School of Public Health and Health Services of the George Washington University, Washington, DC, USA.
