Andualem Oumer

Principal Technical Advisor, Supply Chain Management

Andualem Oumer has a range of skills and experience, including supply chain systems assessment and design, capacity building, quantification (forecasting and supply planning), procurement management, inventory and warehouse management, distribution management, pharmacovigilance, program review/assessment, analytical processing, assessment and designing of health information management systems, data management and use for decision making, development and use of tools for supply chain management, project management, grant management, client management, training, tact, diplomacy and negotiation, market dynamic research, communications, post-marketing surveillance, leadership and management, and monitoring and evaluation. Andualem has helped to build the capacity of more than 2,500 staff of ministries and partner organizations in more than 30 counties in supply chain management of health commodities. He has also helped design and implement supply chain systems, development, and use of supply chain tools, guidelines, SOPs, and manuals for a range of health commodities. His experience spans all disease areas/ programs, including HIV/AIDS, TB, malaria, maternal, reproductive health and family planning, vaccines, and other essential medicines and supplies.

 

Andualem is a pharmacist by training and has about 18 years of experience.
