Strengthening Health Commodity Procurement and Supply Chain Management in the Philippines

This technical brief summarizes MTaPS support to the Philippines Department of Health (DOH) in developing and implementing an end-to-end electronic Logistics Management Information System (eLMIS) to address procurement and supply chain management challenges. With the eLMIS in place, the DOH is using supply chain data for improved procurement and cost-effective, uniform warehouse management of health commodities in the country. The digitization of the supply chain in the country through the eLMIS is a crucial step in improving quality health care in the Philippines – by ensuring the population’s sustainable access to essential medicines and vaccines.
