Improving COVID-19 Vaccination Rates in Low-Performing Districts in Côte d’Ivoire

Despite initial encouraging results from early COVID-19 vaccination campaigns in the country, Côte d’Ivoire was struggling to meet its ambitious target of vaccinating 70% of the population between March 2021 and December 2022. To support Côte d’Ivoire in increasing vaccination coverage, MTaPS adapted the World Health Organization’s (WHO) peer-led participatory microplanning tool for Côte d’Ivoire and supported implementation of the tool. This technical brief summarizes MTaPS’ implementation approach, its achievements, and lessons learned from the activity.
